 Geier Financial Group was started in February, 1990 by company president Joseph N. Geier. Formed as an accounting firm for small businesses and high net worth individuals, Joe Geier quickly gained a reputation as a top tax accountant for professional athletes. His first professional athlete client was Jeff Ballard of the Baltimore Orioles. Soon thereafter, a stable of young Orioles including Steve Finley followed Joe to his practice. Using his CPA background, Geier expanded his firm to provide comprehensive financial services to his clients. The business now employees 15 full time staff members and handles the tax, investment, financial planning, and family office needs of its clients. Despite the difficult financial markets of the past 5 years the business has more than doubled its assets under management, and now manages over $150 million dollars for close to 200 clients. Geier Financial can attribute its significant growth to its "Client First" attitude and commitment to top quality client service.
