Geier Asset Management, Inc. proudly supports the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation!
The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation is a 501c(3) non-profit corporation led by our client, former Major League Baseball great, Cal Ripken, Jr., and Bill Ripken, working throughout the country with Boys & Girls Clubs, P.A.L. centers, inner-city schools, and other organizations serving America’s distressed communities. Building community partnerships with some of America’s most successful youth service organizations, they strive to teach the importance of the fundamental building blocks of life. Part of their mission is “to teach these children that embracing lifelong character traits such as perseverance, commitment, developing good nutritional habits, and giving back to their communities, will expose them to opportunities and experiences that will help them become successful and contributing members of society.”
Geier Financial Group is dedicated to supporting organizations that truly make a profound difference in making the world a better place to live in. One such organization is The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults based out of Columbia, Maryland. Founded by Doug Ulman, a 3 time cancer survivor, who with the help of the organization’s board of directors, staff, leadership circle, and endless supporters across the world, has managed to make their mark and be heard by being dedicated to working with young adults and their families as they battle cancer.
The Brooks Robinson All-Star game, which features only graduating high school seniors, was established in 1982 as the Crown All-Star Game with Brooks Robinson as the honorary spokesman for the game. It is considered the top high school baseball event in Maryland. The game started out playing in historic Memorial Stadium and since than has been played in Camden Yards. In 2004 Geier Financial Group took over as the sponsor of the game and in connection with Brooks plans to continue the game for future generations. Hundreds of players have played in the game since its inception many of which have gone on to play in the Major Leagues.
A message from Brooks:
“It is a thrill for me to see how the Brooks Robinson All Star Game has grown. In 2004 Geier Financial Group stepped to the plate to sponsor the game, acknowledging the sportsmanship and hard work of Maryland’s top High School players in this public venue.
I look forward to continuing this All Star Game, where Maryland’s top seniors can showcase their skills in front of family, friends, and fans. I am grateful that my good friends at Geier Financial, who I have known for over 20 years, will continue this tradition with me.”
